A former senior woman employee of HSBC has accused the bank of forgery and is planning to file a complaint before a law court in a case relating to her dismissal from service.
Manju Saxena had earlier complained before a labour court that the bank forged some documents to dismiss her. However, the labour court told Saxena that it has no jurisdiction to direct registration of a forgery case against the bank.
"The complainant is at liberty to file private complaint before the court of competent jurisdiction as the documents were allegedly forged before they were filed in the court. Documents R-1 and R-2 appears to be forged prima facie," said Presiding Officer, R N Rai in an order recently.
Saxena, who was working as confidential secretary to northern regional head of the bank for twenty years, complained that she had an account with the bank and her signature was lifted from the computer records of the bank to forge a courier receipt document.
Claiming that she has not received the dismissal order, Saxena, dismissed from job in October 2005, contended that the bank has forged the courier receipt to establish that she had received the dismissal order through the courier.
Following the labour court order, Saxena is planning to file a private complaint before the magistrate.
